Acts Senior Assistance was formed by Judy and Brian Gibson after what their family went through with Brian’s parents after his Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, and not long after his Mom was also diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. As the disease progressed Brian and his two brothers tried the best that they could to care for their parents, that proved to be an extremely difficult task, and they soon realized that they needed help. Like Many They thought that they could get assistance from Medicaid, this turned out to not be the case. After years of trying to navigate the red tape they were never able to get any assistance for Brian’s Dad before he passed away. After his death Brian’s mother lived for another four years but her health continued to worsen and we continued to pursue the help that we needed from Medicaid, at the end of her life she finally qualified for Nursing home care from the state but that was too little too late. The toll that this took on the family both financially and physically was huge, and we know that is happening to many other families, we need to protect our elderly and their unpaid family caregivers and hope that by forming this organization that we can make a difference.

It comes from the Bible,
Acts 20:35 states that:
